Armitage Group established its own monitoring and surveillance capability in 2011 with the formation of Armitage Monitoring and Surveillance to provide consistent end to end service for our existing clients that required 24/7 remote system and security monitoring. These clients included at the commencement, the NZ Transport Agency, local councils and Ministry of Education schools.

Armitage Monitoring and Surveillance (AMS) provides both passive and active system and security monitoring and onsite personnel welfare checks. Whilst founded in the security industry, AMS services have been widely used for monitoring system functions for applications in building management, remotely located asset operation including intelligent transport systems, occupational health and safety, 24/7 direct call centre service support and data collection and presentation. Whilst many of these services represent core security functions their use in other non-security areas of the wider Armitage business have been both innovative and successfully applied.
