Armitage has worked with Downer NZ on many large construction projects dating back to the Britomart Transport Centre in 2003, in that time forging a strong working relationship with Downer’s construction delivery team. Recently, Armitage Group continued to build upon this working for Downer NZ and Soletanche Bachy (Joint Venture) delivering technology for the ongoing City Rail Link project. Armitage have been responsible for installing Gallagher Access Control Systems and CCTV systems in the Chief Post Office (CPO).

This project presented many challenges including a multi-level underground environment, the underpinning of the CPO to permit the construction of tunnels underneath and COVID restrictions and interruptions. Armitage expertise and knowledge of the site enabled work to be undertaken in an efficient manner and contributing to the protection of the buildings’ heritage status. Armitage are proud to again be associated with another high-profile project that will keep the Auckland region moving.
